Submitting to the Journal of Consumer Affairs
- The Journal of Consumer Affairs uses ScholarOne, an online journal article submission and review management system. Submit your articles here.
- The submission fee is $125; the fee is nonrefundable (even for desk-rejected articles). The fee is waived if any of the authors is a current paid member of the American Council on Consumer Interests (ACCI).
- If none of the authors are ACCI members, when you pay the submission fee, you will have the option to convert the submission fee to a one year's membership in ACCI. Professional Membership is $125 USD annually; Student Membership is $25 USD annually. If one of your authors is a student, that student's membership qualifies an article submission for waiver of the submission fee. Read about ACCI membership here. Benefits of ACCI membership include networking opportunities, an Annual Conference, and awards.
- Note: Authors who work in a country that is classified as a lower-income nation per the World Bank may pay a reduced submission fee. See the list of nation classifications here.
- The submission fee is due at the time of submission. It must be paid by credit card here.
